Moving on…

Right.  So I think I’ve hit limitations of this blog too many times.

http://40kfelix.blogspot.com/  is the new black.

What I’ve been doing for the last week or so…

And…

And…

The wife and I have been painting and selling Bloodbowl teams on eBay for fun and profit.  The fun is obvious - I do the building and priming, she paints, I base and list on eBay.

The profit from the sale is used to acquire more teams and fund the rest of our hobbies.  I’m close to affording my warboss….  :)

Lesson’s learned…

When using Battlefoam’s “build a custom foam tray” system.

 - Don’t use a sharpie.  Use a pen that’s a little smaller then go back over it with a sharpie.

 - Make sure your count is correct.

Other than that.  I think their custom system is damn cool.

Here’s pictures of the foam empty and then full.

he’s gone mad I tell you, mad!

(or - “My. Brain.  Hurts!”)

First up, next nob off the block.  I like to call this one my clockwork nob.  Power Klaw, Ammo Runt, Cybork Body, Ork Bike.

Close up of the wind-up tool on his back.

Last for your viewing pleasure - something I was futzing with.  I’ll need to clean it up to make it work.  Thoughts?

another one…

Putting the kombi-skorcha on the bike really wasn’t going to work.  Then there’s the issue of the biker hand (only comes in the left for the nob, with a considerably larger arm then the regular biker boy).  So, I chopped apart one of the nob ‘uge choppa arms, replaced the hand, and built this kick-@$$ kombi-skorcha.  The ‘uge choppa then had to go elsewhere.  I’m currently working on trying to figure out if I can make it work where it is in this picture - but I might just attach it to the side of the dakka gun.

Here’s a side-by-side on the ‘uge choppa.

…and begins the Nobz.

First up - the demo biker Nob with Cybork Body and combi shoota-rokkit.

Next is the Painboy with his grot orderly.

Yup, I broke the rules….

My whole “no more than two armies in progress at a time” rule.  Yeah.  Totally botched it.  I’ve been taking a little bit of time in the evening while not painting the Bloodbowl team and some time in the morning building my Ork army.  It’s an army I’ve been working on for over a year.  I built most of the trukk and the ‘Ard Boyz squad in January of last year.  Here’s a quick overhead of the boyz so far.  At the point of the picture I’m two bikerz short of the 3rd squad (of 4) of biker Troops, Wazdakka (yeah, I’m taking a special character - first time in… well, ever), the Nobz bikerz, and some final touches for the Mek.

Well, poop - or “Blazing bloody buggering bollocks”

Gotta love the Brits for that turn of phrase.

So, here’s the reason for that lovely bit of inspiration.  Work has slightly altered a major schedule of something.  Moved it to the Monday right after Adepticon.   Which means no vacation through March or early April.  Which means I will probably end up working weekends during that time.  Which means I won’t be able to go to Adepticon.  Blazing bloody buggering bollocks.

So.  That means that this is now my “gaming blog”… not just my “Adepticon planning blog.”

More to follow.  We’re trying to figure out who’s going to join the team, and what’s the status of the Daemon army.
